Dear Sir/Madame
We would like to share with you, how happy we are that you are
interested in our group, and we would also like to thank you for
your attention.
Please let us introduce the Celtic Sunrise Step Dance Group in a
few words.
In the past few years the Irish dance became very popular in the
whole world, and also in Hungary, thanks to Michael Flatley's
"Lord of the Dance" and "Feet of Flames".
This, and the enthusiasm for Irish dancing made a few young
people to create Hungary's first Irish step dance group, the
Celtic Sunrise Step Dance Group.
The group – after major changes – works in today's form since
April 2002, including the cooperation with János Kegye pan's
pipes artist (with 13, internationally published CDs). The
length of the common show is 10 to 80 minutes.
Of course there is possibility for a real Irish step show, with
the music from a CD. This show – which recreates the feeling of
a real Irish dance show – could be up to 40 minutes long. In the
show the group's two violin players also perform if it is
demanded, and the technical conditions are appropriate.
All members of the group a working or studying, and they achieve
their successes next to these activities. The dancers of the
group gathered their knowledge from teaching videos from abroad,
Irish dancers, and a former member of the State Ballet
Institute, but also from actual dance shows, and from their own
creativity.
After 9 years since creation, the group had more than 200
performances. Apart from the own choreographies, the group also
performs the adaptations of the popular dances from Michael
Flatley's Lord of the Dance too.
